Modern Japan Art Society has established the exhibition site and is extensively inviting works by international artists in public offering for eModern Art Exhibitionf held annually to strengthen international exchange and ties of friendship through painting.

Exhibition Rules

for 38th Public Offering of International Exchange Division of Modern Art Exhibition


Exhibition Period: From November 17th (Thursday) in 2011 to November 22nd (Tuesday) in 2011

Exhibition Time: From 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Entrance by 4:30 p.m.)

Last day (November 22nd): By 2:00 p.m.

Venue: Main building of the Ueno Royal Museum (in Ueno Park, Taito-ku, Tokyo)

Organized by: Modern Japan Art Society

Sponsored by: Japan Agency for Cultural Affairs and Tokyo Metropolitan Government Office


Application Requirements: Object for artists residing abroad (Not applicable of age, professional or amateur)

Awards: Japan Art Academy Award,Chairman Award (International Exchange Division)and Award for Excellence (International Exchange Division)

Judgment: Strict judgment will be conducted by Mr. Toshihiko Washio, the art critic, Mr. Shoko Watanabe, the chairman of Modern Japan Art Society and other judges.

@1st Judgment: Photograph Judge (Determine chosen or unchosen)

@2nd Judgment: Awards Judge of Exhibited Works

Regulations of International Exchange Division Works


1) Classification

Oil painting, Japanese style painting, watercolor painting, pastel paiting, ink painting, acryl painting, plane surface painting and so on. (We donft accepet any craftwork or three-dimentional works.)

2) Size and application acceptable quantities: From #8 to #50 Each artist can apply up to 2 works.

3) Notes

Exhibited works should be limited only to your own works

Accepted works canft be withdrawn.

Your exhibited works will be handled with a great care, but Modern Japan Art Society and Saibido wonft take any responsibility for any unexpected damage or lost. If you need appropriate gurantee on your works, please insure your works.

1st Judgment Exhibition Application Procedures

Deadline for Exhibition Application: September 20th in 2011

Please pay the fee for exhibition judgment to the following bank account as well as you send following judgment materials by the deadline for exhibition application. You cant change any application content.@@@@@@@@@@@

Judgment Fee: JPY 15,000 per work (We wont pay you back the fee even in case of unchosen.)
